Summary: The multi-unit General Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the overall operations of the restaurant to ensure its smooth functioning and profitability. Your primary objective will be to create a positive and efficient work environment, deliver exceptional guest experiences, and achieve financial targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team of restaurant staff, including chefs, servers, kitchen staff, and support personnel.
  • Foster a positive work culture, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance team performance and individual growth.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, and expectations, and provide feedback.
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, hygiene standards, and health regulations.
  • Develop and implement efficient operational procedures to enhance productivity and guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock to prevent shortages or wastage.
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service to ensure guest satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Address guest complaints and concerns promptly, demonstrating a commitment to resolving issues and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Implement strategies to enhance the overall dining experience, including menu improvements, special promotions, and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Develop and manage budgets, including revenue projections, cost control measures, and profit margins.
  • Analyze financial reports and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to maximize profitability.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional strategies, advertising campaigns, and social media initiatives.
  • Implement upselling techniques and other sales initiatives to increase revenue.
  • Ensure consistent food and service quality by regularly reviewing and refining operational processes.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the kitchen, dining area, and service areas to maintain cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health standards.
  • Implement and enforce quality control measures to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Stay abreast of local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to food safety, labor laws, and licensing requirements.
  • Ensure the restaurant's compliance with all relevant regulations and work with Human Resources when necessary.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute long-term business strategies and goals.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for improvements in operations, customer service, and overall business performance.

Must Haves:

  • 5+ years as a General Manager or similar role in a restaurant setting.
  • Proficiency in using restaurant management software, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and other relevant technology.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of restaurant operations, including kitchen management, inventory control, and compliance with health and safety standards.
  • A genuine passion for the restaurant and hospitality industry, demonstrated through a commitment to excellence and guest satisfaction.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with staff, customers, and other stakeholders
  • Proficient in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Experience with analyzing financial reports, such as profit and loss statements, to make informed business decisions.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to the restaurant industry, including food safety, labor laws, and licensing requirements.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
